Look! Three entries in a row. It’s a miracle.
Because I’ve been away from it so long, I’m re-reading the pages I’ve written for the unsequel, trying not to do any line editing, which is hard for me. I’m a fix-it-as-I-go person, but that can slow the flow so I’m trying not to do that. I’ve written 100pp, which is halfway there, so I’m excited.
In the last two weeks, I had the pleasure of participating in two different mother-daughter book clubs, where the members were reading CLICK HERE (To Find Out How I Survived Seventh Grade). It was fun to hear what people thought and I was glad that, for the most part, people weren’t shy about saying what they didn’t like about it, even though I was there. The book is what it is and people have all kinds of opinions about it.
In the second group, about half hadn’t read it because the book hadn’t come in in time. So we also spent time talking about writing and how you come up with ideas. I also asked them about their school and friendship xperiences. It was great fun.
